How Multi-Date Rental Bookings Work
How bridal shops book one customer across engagement and wedding functions using multi-date orders and sub-orders with separate dispatch and return windows.
The same family needs a reception lehenga out on the 10th and a ceremony set out on the 12th. One notebook line cannot hold two windows. Two separate “orders” in Excel lose the shared customer and deposit story.
Better process
- Create one order for the customer.
- Add a sub-order per function window with its products.
- Set dispatch and return on each sub-order.
- Run availability per window before save.
- Collect rent and deposit against the parent financials.
- Move each sub-order through ready to dispatch → dispatched → completed.
Tradock-supported workflow
New order stepper: Sub-orders → Customer → Review & save. Each sub-order carries products, notes, alteration flag, and schedule. Parent status derives from active sub-orders. Availability validation runs for the requested periods. Invoices can present order sections for multi-date rentals.
