Item Codes & SKU Tracking for Rental Businesses

Shops often ask for “barcode management.” What they need on a wedding-wear floor is faster identity: a unique item code on the hanger, in the order line, and in search—so “maroon heavy lehenga” stops meaning three different garments.

The business problem

Without codes, dispatch grabs lookalikes, returns get logged against the wrong bill, and audits become storytelling. Scanners are optional hardware; unique SKUs are mandatory process.

3. Put the same code on the physical hang tag.
4. Train staff to search Summary and products by item code under pressure.
5. Keep photos on the product so visual confirm matches the code.
6. Never recycle a code from a retired piece into a new design.
